A mnemonic phrase or seed phrase is a group of words that allow access to a cryptocurrency wallet. A seed phrase is an ordered list of 12 or 24 random words.
While other non-custodial wallets use them as way to recover your private key, we think seed phrases have serious security flaws. Normally when creating their wallets, users are asked to write the seed phrase on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place. If you lose that piece of paper or someone else finds it, you lose access to your digital assets. If someone else get a hold of it or steals your seed phrase, they gain access to your digital assets.
The Kryptonio wallet does not have a seed phrase or private key. The user has full custody of their assets and we use threshold signatures and advanced biometrics to keep your digital assets safe and sound.
There are many articles here and our website that will give more information about our security measures and how the Kryptonio wallet works.
